Raj started the family business in 1976, the year of bicentennial celebrations. She received “South Carolina SBA Business Person of the Year – Runner up Award” in 2002. She served customers in 11 states in the Eastern United States

Serving for 32 years while in a beautiful 10,000 sq. ft. Exotica building on Hwy 378 in West Columbia and a staff of ten professionals to serve her customers. She decided to retire and a flood of letters, cards, e-mails and flowers honored for her services to the community. However, an expectation was expressed to continue helping the loyal customers. This was gratifying but made her reconsider the sentiments of her loyal customers out of obligation to meet their needs. She has maintained her commitment of personal service with top quality designer lines with personal professional services that people have confidence in. This has been a hallmark of Exotica all these years.

 The fashion houses also were relieved to see her continue the services and the trememdous business they enjoyed as suppliers to Exotica for so long. She enjoys her personal leverage to meet the needs of Mother of the bride or groom as well as the latest styles every season that are stylish but not faddish, elegant but not far out, and the quality fabrications that last and last. It is a wise investment when you have quality wardrobe which you enjoy for a long long time without compromising its crispness and appeal.

 Exotica is now located at 5483 Sunset Blvd, Suite I in Lexington near Saxe Gotha Church  behind Mallard Lake Center. The  service and availability of quality formalwear or sportswear is always assured. Visiting customers are like friends to her and she always enjoys meeting everyone. People enjoy her worldly wisdom as well as her keen sense of elegant style to  stay fashion forward.
